Kellogg Company Board

Here is a visual look at the 2008 financial statements for Kellogg. You can access a full-size image through the Acrobat sharing feature: just use the menu button at the top of the Acrobat frame and select ‘Download and Sharing”, or click on the arrow in the top right of the frame. You can also click through to three other screens to see 2007 results as well, and details of the financial numbers for each year.

The company is profitable, with Net Income of over $1 billion; however profits were flat between 2007 and 2008 despite a growth in Sales of some 8%, meaning that profitability was eroded.

Despite the steady profits there has been a reduction in Shareholder Equity and an increase in long-term debt. This appears to be due to the company taking an opportunity to use uncommitted profits and cash to buy back shares.
