Game Night at Andromeda May 2010

Last night we had our regular game night, and it was an opportunity for friends and colleagues to try the Entrepreneurial Challenge simulation (Better Business Decisions).

It was actually a full workshop that ran for 3 hours (with connections to lear ning)… with a lot of fun and a LOT of learning.

Winners of the game, and the Gold Acumen Award, was the Awesome Sauce Company (aka Aw Saws) with retained earnings 90! The team was made of of Calyx Harris (Andromeda), Brian Mahoney (MBA Lifecycle), and Maureen Walsh.

And there was lots of stealth learning!

“I didn’t realize it was possible to be profitable and run out of cash at the same time. I can see how it happens now.”

“Now I can read financial statements.”

And Calyx and Alyson both applied their learning from April game night … they went out looking for the information that was available on Visual Finance!
